The first and biggest mistake people make when install the C03 is that they insert the clip from the wrong side of the cooler. This makes it hard to take out as well as install. Always insert the clip from the side with the notch to
allow area for the clip to travel as you install it or uninstall it.

Clips can be taken apart if they take up too
much space or interfere with power supply case.
These clips are designed into two parts so insert a
screw driver into clip handle gap and rotate to take
clip and handle apart. You can always put the clip
back together if you need to.
TIP #3
The photo to the left show clip can be installed with
or without handle. If you remove clip handle, use finger
to push other end of clip toward slit notch side and use
screw driver to push clip down at the slit notch side.
The clip will assemble the heatsink and CPU thermal
plate tightly. This clip not only improves the thermal
resistance but also prevents heatsink to drop off from
CPU during the vibration test of OEM QA process.
